If you love salads, but hate the prep, get this. You will wonder how you ever got along without it!
I was too OXO tools a few years ago, when I introduced one of their peelers. Since I am an enthusiastic supporter of OXO and own many of their products have become. But my favorite of all is the OXO Good Grips salad spinner. I love lettuce but always found to be washed, a duty that some days I just want to completely skip the salad. I avoided salads for a long timebecause of preparation time. I had an older salad spinner, but it was the kind you had to turn, and cleaning it later always seemed to take a long time. This spinner is a huge improvement over anything I've used before. Believe it or not --- I really enjoy washing-green with this device and use it every day. I've found that is washing the lettuce and draining the excess water from the bowl, then cool the lettuce in the spinner before spinning yields crispy greens. I've found that's a good thing to do, early in the day, then only a short spin later for a quick salad.
A single button and it rotates on its own, and it does not move at all on the counter. I have noticed that it turns a couple takes to dry them the way I like, butwhile the Greens are spinning, you can chopping other ingredients.
